Yet too many families face financial barriers that keep them from enrolling their children in swim lessons—even though drowning is one of the leading causes of accidental death for kids. That’s where Hope Floats Foundation comes in. Hope Floats provides scholarships for swim lessons, making life-saving water safety skills accessible to families who need them most. Their work saves lives, and it matters deeply in every community.

But safety in the water is only one part of the story. In our community, there simply aren’t enough good adaptive swim programs—programs that truly meet the needs of swimmers with disabilities. Families are often left without options, or forced to travel long distances for quality instruction. We believe every swimmer deserves access to lessons that are not only safe, but tailored to their unique abilities. That’s why we are laying the groundwork for a dedicated adaptive swim program—one that provides individualized instruction, fosters confidence, and builds belonging in the water.
